
Tsutomu Ishizuki was born in Aichi Prefecture on January 8, 1977.
From the age of 3 until 13, he was under the musical influence of his father, and learned to play the violin.
He later attended Okoshi Technical High School in Aichi Prefecture, where he learned the basics of design.
In 1992, Ishizuki formed the band Fanatic Crisis. He was the lead singer and front man, who wrote the lyrics and created the musical composition for all of their songs .
In 1997, Fanatic Crisis debuted with record label For Life Music Entertainment Inc.
Ishizuki used the skills he acquired at design school and took on a creative role in this process. He was responsible for the CD jacket design, costume design and art direction.
On May 14, 2005, Fanatic Crisis held their last concert at Tokyo Bay NK Hall, after which the band decided to break up.
After Fanatic Crisis disbanded, Ishizuki left the music industry completely. He decided to make a change and return to design. He started designing pieces of Jewelry, something he had been interested in for a long time.
In early January 2005, as to involve himself in many different kinds of design, Ishizuki established the Design Office [Scarecrow Factory Inc.]. This company specializes in many various forms of the design industry including graphic design, web design and space design.
In 2006, he opened his first retail outlet, Jerry's Gift Shop in the fashionable neighborhood of Daikanyama in West Tokyo. Ishizuki designed, produced and sold hats, clothes and bags in addition to his own original jewelry designs.
In 2008, he took his designs to Milan, Italy, where he participated in exhibitions seen by many of the worlds most fashionable people.
He consequently received orders from many highly acclaimed international boutiques, including The H Lorenzo in Los Angeles.
Since 2009, Ishizuki has defined his focus in the design industry, and now spends a majority of his time in the field of interior and space design. In Japan, he was commissioned to design different environments, including clinics and restaurants.
In 2010, he was commissioned to produce the visual design of The Ancient Hotel Asama Karuizawa, where he was responsible for space and interior design, incorporating destinctive furniture and art pieces.
In 2011, Ishizuki developed his current range of environmentally friendly ecological furniture, entitled Playwood, using ethically produced materials.
